This policy explains what personal data simgoose (“we”, “us”) collects when you use simgoose.com, why, who we share it with and the rights you have. If you have any questions, email us at info@simgoose.com.
What we collect
- Order details. When you buy an eSIM we receive your name and email address from our payment provider, plus what you bought, the price and the order date. We need these to deliver your eSIM and send you your receipt.
- Payment details. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Support messages. If you contact us, we receive your name, email address and message.
- Usage data. Only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, your approximate location and your device type.
- Security signals. Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and browser information to tell people and bots apart.
How we use it and our legal basis
- To fulfil your order and support you: necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep records we are required to keep, such as tax and accounting records: legal obligation.
- To protect the site from spam and fraud: our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
- To understand and improve the site with Google Analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers we need to run simgoose:
- Stripe: payment processing.
- Airalo: our eSIM supplier, which receives the order details needed to issue your eSIM and provides activation support.
- Microsoft Azure: hosting, databases and sending our emails.
- Google: Google Analytics (only with your consent) and reCAPTCHA. reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically up to 7 years.
- Support messages: up to 2 years after your last message.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months.
